This is a 2 ply, DK weight 100% wool yarn 12 WPI (wraps per inch).
The skein is 97 grams and 185 meters (3.42 oz and 202 yards).
The original fiber is from the sheep named Alton from a farm in the Valcartier area near Quebec City in Canada. Alton has had merino ancestors, so his fleece is very soft and its structure resembles merino wool a lot. This fiber is very spongy and quite soft, must be around 22 microns. Prior to spinning, it was hand dyed with the Cool-Aid powder by Alton's owner.
