This is a 2 ply, heavy worsted weight 100% wool yarn 10 WPI (wraps per inch).
The skein is 95 grams and 145 meters (3.35 oz and 158 yards).
This yarn is of medium softness (the fiber must be close to 28-30 microns), it looks and feels very much like real sheep's wool. It is not a delicate kind of yarn, it has a rustic feel and look.
The fiber for this skein was sourced locally from a farm in the Valcartier area near Quebec City in Canada. It was hand dyed at the farm with the non-acid dyes prior to spinning.
