Professionally restored and fully functional antique Quebec spinning wheel marked Jérémie Ouellet (real CPW, Canadian Production Wheel). Tilt tension, double drive system. Wheel diameter 29 inches, ratio 16. It is best suited for spinning fine to medium yarn. This spinning wheel was sold in Gaspésie in St-Charles de Caplan in the first half of the 20th century (store stamp below, see photo). The original yellow paint was preserved during the restoration: a very beautiful shade of yellow, complex, deep and pretty. It was restored and adjusted by a local cabinetmaker: among other things, a new jack and a cap were made for it, the wheel was balanced with a lead bearing. It is equipped with a new
