Two ply DK weight yarn 12 WPI (wraps per inch), hand spun from pure sheep wool sourced locally from a farm in Mauricie region of Quebec in Canada.
The colour is the natural chocolate brown colour of the sheep. The breed is Babydoll Southdown, their wool is very spongy and quite soft: not as soft as merino, but softer than average sheep wool, around 22 microns.
This yarn will look great in a pair of mittens, or socks, alone or combined with 100% wool commercial yarn.
