Warm woollen scarf woven by hand on a traditional weaving loom, one thread at a time. 100% Canadian wool, a combination of a fine worsted yarn providing solidity and a thicker woollen yarn making this scarf warm and soft. The scarf is reversible.
The design is a subtle dégradé of weft colours on a polychrome warp, enriched by two alternating colours of large stripes: gray and light beige. The overall colour looks like a shade of gray at a distance but a close-up reveals that this gray consists of multiple colours and shades.
Measures 75" long (+2 ½” fringe) x 15 ½" wide (190 x 39 cm plus fringes 6 cm).
The woollen fabric will soften with wear and each washing, just like linen does.
Care: This scarf had already been washed. Hand washing with a mild detergent recommended. However, you can wash it in a washing machine (hand wash cycle, mild detergent) but take care to remove promptly. Hang to dry and iron on wool setting with steam, not pressing heavily onto the fabric, or iron through a cheesecloth.
