Professionally restored and fully functional antique spinning wheel (real CPW, Canadian Production Wheel) made in Quebec. The manufacturer is not marked but can be identified, with a high degree of certainty, as Siméon Laurence from Saint-Maurice in Quebec (1834-1897). Tilt tension, double drive system. Wheel diameter 30 inches - one of the few very large wheels; ratio approximately 16.5. The feel you get while spinning is like driving a limousin car with a very long base: smooth and cradling. It is best suited for spinning very fine to medium yarn. This spinning wheel was restored and adjusted by a local cabinetmaker and is equipped with a new drive band by Métier doré. Optional: additional bobbins (not included into the price, 40$ per bobbin plus 10$/3 if matching colour required). Please, note that the shipping cost is not included in the price! For shipping cost estimation, please, get in touch prior to purchase. Delivery possible in Portneuf County, to Quebec City and in between.
