Professionally restored and fully functional antique spinning wheel (real CPW, Canadian Production Wheel) made in Quebec. The manufacturer is not marked but can be identified, with a high degree of certainty, as Siméon Laurence from Saint-Maurice in Quebec (1834-1897). Tilt tension, double drive system. Wheel diameter 30 inches - one of the few very large wheels; ratio approximately 16.5. The feel you get while spinning is like driving a limousin car with a very long base: smooth and cradling. It is best suited for spinning very fine to medium yarn. This spinning wheel was restored and adjusted by a local cabinetmaker and is equipped with a new drive band by Métier doré. Optional: additional bobbins (not included into the price, 40$ per bobbin plus 10$/3 if matching colour required). Please, note that the shipping cost is not included in the price!
