Métier doré manufactures and offers drive bands made in Portneuf, using a time-tested wool and cotton blend. This combination provides excellent elasticity and durability, surpassing cotton, hemp, and modern synthetic options.

Drive bands are available in various thicknesses (WPI) to suit different types of spinning wheels, both antique and modern. We can guide you in selecting the right size to ensure optimal performance.

You may install the drive band yourself with our guidance, or we can take care of the installation at our workshop. We offer measuring, fitting, and splicing services for a precise and long-lasting result.

Métier doré offers custom bobbin manufacturing for spinning wheels, especially antique models that often come with only one bobbin. Having additional bobbins helps streamline and optimize the spinning process.

In collaboration with a local artisan, we create bobbins tailored to your spinning wheel for improved everyday use.

We also offer repair services for bobbins and flyers, including fixing broken parts and replacing missing hooks. However, if the entire bobbin-flyer mechanism is missing, this service cannot be provided.
